Sivananda – Traditional & Relaxed

A Sivananda class is taught as a specific sequence of 12 powerful Asanas that can be modified according to ability of the student. The practice is interspersed with Savasana and resting postures to relax and integrate from the effects of each pose. We relax between poses and learn how to calm and control the breath, balancing the nervous system and giving the mind a moment to re-centre so we never feel stressed in the practice and the experience remains calm, comfortable and gentle, despite the effort. The whole class comes together to create a wonderful rounded experience for the body, mind and spirit.
